Some Basic Tips on Styling a Man's Hair

Men's hair care is very important to how a man will look and feel throughout the day. If a man takes good care of his hair and uses the right hair styling products, he will feel better, exude confidence and attract others to him. Women have always taken notice of their own hair and now, more men are starting to realize that their hairstyles make a difference in their own lives. The best time for a man to style his hair to get the look he wants is just after he has had a haircut. First, he should choose his barber with care to be sure he or she understands and can provide the cut he wants.
After a haircut, men should wash their hair to remove any hairs that are still loose around the scalp. Then, they should towel their hair dry and comb it to make sure the loose hairs are gone.
Next, men's hair care should include applying styling products like a quality gel. If the man's hair is thin, lighter weight gels are best since the thick gels can make a man's hair stick together too much.
If the man wants a spiky look, he should start at the front and create spikes using plenty of the styling products so the hair will stand up all day.
If the man wants a messy look, he should run his fingers through his damp locks and distribute the product in a haphazard manner to vary the directions the hairs stand.
For a smooth and professional appearance, a man can comb his hair, part it, and stick with a more classic style.
Once the right style has been achieved, men should spritz their hair with hairspray to hold that style all day long. Hairspray will not only hold the hairs in place, but it will also prevent a man's hair from frizzing in weather or wind variations throughout the day.
If a man is not satisfied with the way he looks right after a haircut, he should wait for a few days to see if it improves with a little new growth. If not, he should return to the stylist and ask for a change. A hairstyle will probably only get worse as it grows out a bit. It's likely he will want to have it in the place it best suits him for his daily life as it will probably be several weeks before he will have another cut. Men's hair care, in general, will add to the way his hair looks on a daily basis and help him feel great about himself. Every man should adhere to a hair care regimen that will not only benefit him by providing the look he likes, but also care for his scalp and hair to keep it healthy.

Is There a Cure to the Common Cold?

Unfortunately, the answer to that question is no. The common cold may be common, but that does not make it any more pleasant to suffer. Mild colds may make you feel a little under the weather for a few days, whereas a nasty cold can really take its toll; particularly on the young, elderly or infirm.
The common cold is caused by a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract, and it is common because there are over 200 viruses that can cause it, although rhinoviruses are the main culprits. It is no surprise therefore, that an adult will suffer with a cold on average three times a year, whereas, a child can be infected between six and twelve times annually.
Cold symptoms usually last between seven and ten days, although it is not uncommon to feel unwell for up to three weeks. Symptoms include a runny nose, sinus pain, sneezing, coughing, sore throat, fever and headaches. General aches and pains and conjunctivitis can also occur during the common cold.
Because the common cold is caused by a virus, antibiotics are of no use in treating it, meaning that there is no real cold cure. Most cold treatments revolve around looking after yourself and treating the symptoms.
Treatment Options:
1. Rest and fluids
It is best to treat the common cold like any other viral infection and allow your body the time to recover. Getting plenty of rest and replenishing the fluids lost due to fever and sneezing, will help your body use its energy to fight the infection.
2. Steam inhalation
If a blocked nose is one of your main cold symptoms, a good cure is inhaling steam; either with or without menthol crystals dissolved it in.
3. Using a vapour rub on your chest and nose can also help a stuffy nose.
4. Gargling
Gargling with salt water or specialized antiseptic mouthwash can help reduce the inflammation associated with a sore throat.
5. Painkillers
There are a multitude of cold remedies available over the counter. Most will contain either paracetamol or ibuprofen, which are anti-inflammatory drugs and will help with the pain and pain-inducing inflammation.
Many a cold cure will also contain added ingredients aimed at boosting your immune system, providing energy or getting a good night's sleep. As with all medications, read the instructions carefully as some cold remedies do not mix well with other medications or are not suitable for young children. Specialised cold cures for children are available.

Hair Regrowth Home Remedies for Men

Men typically are more prone to have hair loss than women. In men, this hair problem is called androgen alopecia and male pattern baldness. It can be caused by several factors, but mainly due to hereditary factors that can run for generations. The other factors are deficiencies of folic acid and vitamins, sudden shock, stress, anxiety and inadequate general nutrition. Prolonged illnesses like anemia, syphilis and typhoid fever can also cause men to lose their hair. Men usually start to lose hair in their forties but some of them start to have the problem in their twenties. Hair loss in men can be categorized as a metabolic disorder. In the end, it results in hair falling, thinning and even disappearing.

This hair problem can be really stressful for some men. While most men try to improve their appearance by means of different hairstyles, men with hair loss have to face the fact that they lose more hairs each day. They can even become bald due to the excessive hair loss. This problem will affect their appearance and confidence. This leads men to seek remedies or treatments to grow their hair back. Some men turn to expensive treatments that promise great and fast results. However, these are often just scams to take money and can even make the problem worsen.

Preventing and treating hair loss can be very easy and affordable. You should keep in mind that there are numerous home remedies to grow your hair back. These remedies are very easy to obtain; you can even find them in your kitchen. Below are some home remedies you can use to treat your hair problem:

1. Prepare 4 tablespoons of henna (mehendi) leaves and a cup of mustard. Mix the two ingredients together and boil them. Once it has been boiled, filter it and keep it in a bottle. You can use this mixture to massage your bald patches.

2. Grind fenugreek seeds and mix this with water for the best result. Then, apply the ingredients on your head and massage your scalp. You should do this treatment at least 40 minutes before a shower. For best results, do this treatment every day for at least a month.

3. Prepare onion paste and use it to rub the bald areas. When these areas become red, apply honey.

4. Use a mixture of egg yolk and honey to massage your hair and scalp. Leave it on for an hour and then wash your hair thoroughly.

5. You can make a homemade shampoo to support your hair's growth. It is a mixture of 2 tablespoons of raw gram powder (which is chickpea or garbanzo bean flour), 5 tablespoons of milk curd and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply the mixture to your head and leave it for an hour. Then, wash your hair thoroughly.
